The Dirk has 12 peaches for €2.49 today, something you don't often see in these parts. Only trouble is, they ain't ripe yet. This looks like the right way to solve that problem.
This might be a good excuse to do a peach and bourbon cobbler. Or a sour cream and peach pie. Leftovers will go into a peach vinaigrette.

I´m very interested how that will work out. I had so many bad peach experiences (when they turn from unripe to woolly mush instead of from unripe to ripe) especially with cheap supermarket peaches.
I am also curious. I think I'll try to err on the side of underripe.
To follow up, they're ripe today. I can smell them from 2 meters away. So far so good...
