Above: an actual preview of where I'll actually be based, Robertsfors, 30 minutes north of Umeå on the eastern coast (photo by Anna). This was taken yesterday at 11pm, so apparently it is now starting to get dark for a few hours at night this far "south".

Haven't found too many wonderfully comprehensive sites about the cuisine of Sweden, but Carovin, a Stockholm-based foodservice supplier, has a pretty nice overview that doesn't seem too distorted by marketing.
