ever thought about switching to decaf?

This morning, caffeine galore after no coffee for a week. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I'm going to the library today.
THE LIBRARY!!!!!
aaaarrrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhh

LATER THAT DAY:

The library was excellent. I was there for almost four hours, it's like a shopping mall for information, at least as good as this internet thing. It's right next door to Sea Palace (below) for some reason. Does anyone actually eat there? I looked at the menu, 24 euros for Moo Goo Gai Pan.

+++

The inside of the library is a bit on the mall-y side, but has enough hidden corners where you can get away from it all and go back in time for a while.

I ended up leaving with four DVDs (Through a Glass Darkly, The Wind Will Carry Us, Old Joy, and Four Lions); Vonnegut's Slapstick (a book I'd read 4 times before I was 16 and never again for some reason); a book of Morton Feldman scores and analysis (wtf, that book is fucking $100 on Amazon. I'm going to the Muziekgebouw on Wednesday to see the 5-hour Second String Quartet, only 10 euro b/c of a Facebook special, come on you know you want to go with me); a Hieronymus Bosch book; and Charlie Parker for Guitar (in tablature!!!).
