We had a much better night of sleep in Napa, possibly due to sheer exhaustion. We celebrated by making coffee and toast in the van.
Then we took some coin-operated showers ($1.75 for 3 minutes?) and headed off to a non-diner breakfast in charming Calistoga.
And then back on the road, to a part of Napa wine country that I found to be the prettiest we'd seen:
And then north to Ferndale via the Avenue of the Giants. I keep reading that sign below as "Chainsaw Cravings". Some reading on Avenue of the Giants, Ripley's Tree House and Confusion Hill until I get a blogpost together.
