Sunday: blueberry-buttermilk pancakes; the sauna; the punishing answer to the question "what's the weather like on the other side of the island?"; beers or hot chocomel/vodka and bitterballen in our protective bunker; maple-soy salmon with roasted scallions and mustard mash + sesame spinach + this lovely salad dressing pilfered/adapted from M-Stew at a desperate last moment + treacle puddings; White Gingers, Maple Leafs, and the soaring/plummeting fortunes of Texas Hold'em for real money. Assi won. Today: my first time driving Oerd the Stoner Van and possibly untold amounts of New Year's Eve pleasure.
