The below, on the other hand, is un petit hazelnut eclair from the deserted new French patisserie at Amsterdam Centraal. It was a decision based on three hours of sleep and a careful consideration of what I could combine with a double espresso that wouldn't make my sleepless stomach sad. Also, seeing the lonely, lonely looking pastry chef in his zoo-like display window made me feel like he shouldn't be laboring for naught. So far, I have to say it's a win-win: it really was the best thing I've bitten into in a while. I am recommend.
