Thursday: a perfect dinner at home. Gratuitously-peppered steaks (organic, but still, yes, sorry), oven-roasted rosemary potatoes, a flawless caesar salad, and a very nice bottle of Spanish red wine. Why is this so got-damt satisfying? It felt like absolutely nothing else needed to happen that evening in order to go to bed happy. And yet we still watched Sideways (still funny) and had an improdessert of Scottish shortbread, lemon curd, vanilla ice cream, fresh raspberries, and a drizzle of date syrup. Really good.
Today: two vegetarian things that really successfully satisfy non-vegetarian AMERICAN FOOD cravings: a tempeh burger and a buffalo chicken + blue cheese salad minus the chicken (Valess schniztel instead).
